THE MARTIN BOYS
The Martin Boys is a TikTok and Instagram skits channel run by me and my brother. We’re both social-media savvy and, since living in the same house over the last four months, decided to start creating short-form skits together. What began as a fun project has grown quickly, and after seeing strong engagement we’ve started taking the channel more seriously with consistent posting.
So far, the channel has gained over 1.1 million views across platforms. Our content centres around relatable, comedic skits, and we plan to develop this further into a blend of skits and documentation, including vlogging events, exploring unusual or interesting places around the country, and capturing spontaneous moments. The goal is to build a recognisable, personality-led channel that combines humour with real experiences.

2. Answer a series of creative questions about who you are, why you’re excited about YES, and what you’d bring to the role.
3. Upload a short video (or response content) that shows your personality, creativity, what matters to you, and how you’d represent YES.
HEAD OF YES!

We wanted the video to feel aspirational and visually appealing, so we made the decision that we both needed to be on holiday for it to fit the tone and energy of the role. As my brother already had a holiday booked that ended just two days until the application deadline, we worked to a very tight turnaround. From scripting to gathering footage and editing, the entire video was planned and produced in just one day, showing our ability to work quickly, collaborate efficiently, and deliver high-quality content under pressure.
Virgin YES, in Virgin’s words, is about backing young people, big ideas, and positive change. The Head of YES role is a six-month opportunity to travel the world, meet inspiring people, and tell powerful stories that reflect what young people care about today. It’s about being curious, confident, and creative, using content and conversation to amplify youth voices and show how Virgin supports the next generation to thrive.
